The launch of air-conditioning for schools

One fine day in 1994, Electra’s sales team heard about a tender to air- condition a school. The idea of installing air-conditioning in a classroom with 40 children was new, and seemed extravagant, still, the team liked it and decided to place a bid, presenting a solution made up of five split air-conditioners.

Electra, Of course, won the tender and the development team immediately went to work, coming up with ideas for an air-conditioner suited to a school environment. The final product was a quiet split air-conditioner, with ceiling air-conditioning technology, so that the unit is safely away from the children. The ceiling air-conditioner blew cold air down into the class, which would become cool and pleasant in a short time. The project was enthusiastically nick named ‘Cool School’.

Despite being extremely busy with orders from around the world, at the request of municipalities across the country, the factory began producing air-conditioners for schools, creating yet another lucrative revenue stream for Electra.
